Summary of Musical Goals for Rhythmic-Solfège III

(Approximately Ages 9-11)

1.      All of Rhythmic-Solfège I and II

2.      Know the B-flat major tonality and D major tonality with note-names and number functions

a.       Tonic and Dominant arpeggios with note-names and numbers

3.      Know the A minor tonality and D minor tonality with note-names and number functions (natural and harmonic minor)

a.       Tonic and Dominant arpeggios with note-names and number functions

4.      Know how to conduct compound meters in 2, 3, and 4 with arm beats

5.      Note and rest values from Level I and Level II and new and more complex rhythms to be known and stepped in any combination:

a.       In simple meters

b.      In compound meters

6.      Intervals: major 2nd, major 3rd, minor 3rd, perfect 4th, perfect 5th
