The Wild, Wild West!!!

Saddle up partners, and get ready for a rip-roarin’ good time!  This year’s Dalcroze Eurhythmics summer camp will take us through The Wild, Wild West!!!  Using the powerful relationship between music and movement we will forge through fantastic repertoire in a totally integrated experience of music, movement, dance, art, and theater generated by the imaginations of kids.   From Aaron Copland’s Billy the Kid and Appalachian Spring to great folk songs from our American heritage, this week of music learning will offer something for everyone! 

The five-day camp will conclude with a performance complete with sets and costumes created by the students themselves.  In preparation for the performance, each student will be provided a CD at the beginning of camp with the material we’ll be using throughout the week.  Each day, students should bring a snack to munch on while they build their own sets and costumes.   Enrollment is limited, so register soon!

The summer Dalcroze camp is for children who have already turned 4 (please, no exceptions).  These classes are intended to be without a parent.  If your child is not ready to separate from you, then it is quite possible he/she is not ready for a class of this nature.
